What a great start to our stay in Italy! The flight over was great, even with a 7 hour layover in Frankfurt. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a sign that said "Cooking Instructor" which made Joan very happy. :)
Our private water taxi ride over was perfect, and brought us right up to our hotel. I haven't stayed at this hotel before and I am very happy with it so far.
Today was full of hotel inspections, tours, great food and great company. My friend a local partner, Giorgia, has been showing us all the fantastic renovations being done to some of the hotels as well as updating us on some of the new laws and regulations that affect tourism. I learned a great deal today as it has been 2 years since I have visited Venice. I won't let that happen again. :)
Now, we off to an Opera. I will leave you this and update you on how awesome the Opera was tomorrow.
