Ciao amici!
I will start by saying that I have forgotten how to speak English or Italian so if the grammar is horrible, that is why. I feel like I am speaking backwards half the time trying to get my point across in some terrible mixture of Italian and English. It is quite hilarious to say the least.
So, everything has been great. A couple technical snags but that never surprises me. Currently, I am in Imperia on the lobby computer and have about 10 minutes to update you on the last 4 days. Since that just made me tired saying that, I will give you some bullet points and provide more detail when I can get onto my computer and I have a little more time.
Imperia is a little city in Liguria aka the Italian Riviera. It is near the water and generally is a place with beautiful weather almost all year round. Today we have a little rain and wind but no big deal. I am staying at a very modern hotel called Hotel Rossini al Teatro. It is very comfortable and the people are hospitable but it does not give you the feel of Italy in any way. For that, I can just walk outside.
The last hotel I stayed in was Hotel Corallo in Riccione, another nice 4 star hotel that lacked personality. It was clean and comfortable which is most important for this particular trip so it is all good. The breakfast so far has been typical pastries, juices, cereal and coffee which is really all I have had time for and all I need to get the day going.
The fair in Rimini was a success. Joan and I met some fantastic people and already have a few partner and vendor contracts in the works. Of course, I will have to visit again very soon to do site inspections of particular areas and properties and finalize the contracts. It is such a tough life. :)
The dinners have been fabulous and I can tell you more about them next time. I will also touch on some of the great areas and hotels I have visited.
I hope all is well with everyone.
Arrivederci!
